    MARVEL

    A unique project in the region, One Za’abeel pushes the limits of design and engineering with its panoramic sky concourse – The Link. Linking together the development’s two towers 100 meters above the ground, the 230-meter structure is of epic scale and proportion.

    On 1st March 2024, One Za’abeel achieved the Guinness World Records™ title for the world’s ‘Longest Cantilevered Building’ for it’s record-breaking cantilever which extends 67.277 metres beyond the development’s main tower. Floating high above the city, One Za’abeel’s The Link adds a unique and imaginative first to Dubai’s long list of record-breaking buildings.

    Completely unique and one of the most challenging projects in the region, the project required the concerted effort from global experts in the fields of construction, engineering, and contracting to come together and make it a reality. To lift 8,500 tons of the steel structure a one-of-a-kind cantilever launcher was built onsite; a specially designed gantry system and more than 110 jacks and heavy-duty strand jacks were used to lifted The Link structure 100 meters above ground level in one of the heaviest lifts in the region. This major achievement was executed without stopping the flow of traffic on the 4-lane Al Mustaqbal Bridge that slices between the two towers.
